RISING Yorkshire indie stars The Sherlocks have hit the top of the charts just weeks before playing two big shows in the south.

The Sheffield band are at number one in the Official Vinyl Singles Chart with latest single Will You Be There? It’s their biggest sound so far and has already been championed on Radio One and BBC 6 Music.

Frontman Kiaran Crook, his brother and drummer Brandon, lead guitarist Josh Davidson and his brother and bassist Andy will debut at Southampton's Talking Heads on Wednesday February 22 and then return to Portsmouth's Wedgewood's Rooms the next evening as part of an epic 35 date nationwide tour. Venues in the north have already sold out.

Last year the lads sold out The Joiners, supported The Libertines in Bournemouth and played to thousands at Reading & Leeds. After signing their first record deal 2017 is set to be even bigger

Bolton band Jordan Allen supports The Sherlocks at The Talking Heads and The Wedgewood Rooms shows on February 22 and 23. Tickets £9 in advance at thesherlocksmusic.co.uk or from venues.
