BOLTON’S latest indie stars Jordan Allen return to Southampton tomorrow with their latest song 110 Ways to Make Things Better, an outstanding bittersweet and raw, but optimistic tribute to frontman Jordan’s father and greatest supporter Kevin, who recently passed away after a terminal illness.

Jordan first played the demo to his father while in hospital during his final days before eventually finishing the track with a hopeful outlook as to how he and his family can overcome such a heartbreaking loss.

Jordan says: “This one is dedicated to my dad. He came to every show and was really proud of everything that we did as a band. This song is really important to us.”

It’s one of three lively numbers taken from EP Livin’ La Vida Bolton and has already been picked up by BBC 6 Music and Radio X. All proceeds are going to The Brain Tumour Charity.

“All of our new songs are going down amazingly well. We released them on the same day we supported The Sherlocks in front of 2,000 people at Manchester’s Albert Hall, our biggest show so far, so it was one of the best times for the band” added Jordan.

Lead singer-guitarist Jordan, guitarist Danny Quin, bassist Kieran Loughran and drummer Nathan Howard play The Talking Heads with headliners The Sherlocks on Wednesday and Portsmouth’s Wedgewood Rooms on Thursday. Tickets at seetickets.co.uk and venues.
