GLAM rockers The Darkness are returning to Southampton this November.

The quartet land at the Southampton Guildhall on Thursday, November 23. They last played Southampton in 2015.

Guildhall pre-sales began this morning at 10am. General tickets will become available to the public from Friday at 9am.

The Suffolk-based band are heavily influenced by 70’s and 80’s glam rock and metal.

They first achieved massive commercial success with the release of their first album Permission to Land, earning platinum status five times over.

It contained their most popular song to date, I Believe in a Thing Called Love.

Their most recent outing, 2015’s Last of our Kind, was well received by critics, and topped the UK Rock Chart.

The group took a five-year hiatus between 2006 and 2011, pursuing their own projects before reforming and releasing their third album Hot Cakes in 2012.

The Southampton date will be part of a winter tour to support their upcoming fifth album, due to be launched in September this year. They are also working on a feature length documentary.
