AUSTRALIAN indie stars DMA’s are to play their only southern summer date in Southampton next week.

Frontman Tommy O’Dell and guitarists Matt Mason and Johnny Took, along with their touring band, will play songs from their hit debut album Hills End at The 1865 on Tuesday.

With influences from legendary bands like Oasis, fans can expect a night of infectious anthems, including singles Delete, Too Soon, Lay Down, In the Moment and Timeless.

It’s another big new music show for the Brunswick Square venue after hosting Circa Waves and Southampton’s Creeper earlier this year and with The Sherlocks and Sundara Karma booked for September.

Support comes from local lads Cassava who describe DMA’s as “their favourite band of the last two years.”

The trio from Newtown, Sydney played Southampton’s The Joiners 18 months ago in one of their first UK appearances after the release of their breakthrough self-titled EP. They return on December 1 to support The Kooks at the BIC, Bournemouth.
