City's newest music venue opens tonight

TWO of Southampton’s biggest independent music promoters have teamed up to present a line-up of top local talent at the city’s newest venue for live music, which opens tonight.

The Joiners and Advance Promotions are launching Mo’live at the Mo’club at West Quay Industrial Estate after several years of searching for a medium sized venue to bridge the gap between Southampton’s thriving club venue scene and larger venues reserved for big chart acts.

Mo’live is comparable in size to The Wedgewood Rooms in Southsea and it is hoped the city will now attract more live tours.

Tonight’s headliners are fast-rising metalcore quintet Bury Tomorrow with their formidable live show, favourites on the Southampton scene and not expected to stay unsigned for long.

They are supported by home-grown pop punk from the New Forest Not Advised, Southampton quartet Bury Tomorrow, described as heavy yet melodic, crushing yet uplifting, rockers and ravers Fever Season, progressive foursome A Word Like Attack and five piece alternative Southampton act Towers.
