A HAMPSHIRE dad dying of cancer has raised £260 for the hospice where he is receiving treatment.
Ray Davey, 60, staged a music night at a Totton pub that is run by family friend Jacqui Barclay.
The gig at The Red Lion in Commercial Road featured rock band The Dragsters, a disco, special offers and a raffle.
Because of Ray’s illness most of the organising was done by his son Martin.
He took the cash to his father, a patient at Oakhaven Hospice in Lymington, so that Ray could present it to the staff.
The former timber yard worker from Hythe is suffering from lung and spleen cancer and could have just days to live.
