SOUTHAMPTON-based Ska band Orange Street are among the artists recording a track for Specialised, the soon-to-bereleased compilation album of covers of songs by the Specials.
The track, Doesn’t Make It Alright, originally featured on The Specials’ eponymous debut album released in 1979.
Dozens of artists are giving their time to contribute a track to the album, with proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Orange Street are an eight-piece Ska band that have been playing venues across the south for over ten years. Last year, original Specials Roddy Radiation and Lynval Golding joined Orange Street on stage and the band have also supported ska legends The Selecter and 60s hitmaker Chris Farlowe.
The band are planning a US tour and DVD. A five-track EP is now out.
