DUBBED the Jesus of Cool, he’s touring his new album.
A pivotal figure in UK pub rock, punk rock and new wave, Nick Lowe has recorded a string of well-reviewed solo albums.
Along with vocals, Lowe plays guitar, bass guitar, piano and harmonica.
He is best known for his songs (What’s So Funny ‘Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding, a hit for Elvis Costello; Cruel to Be Kind, a U.S. Top 40 single; and “I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass, as well as his production work with Costello.”

n HAILING from Southend-on-Sea, the Lucky Strikes channel blues, country and gospel into their own brand of widescreen Americana.
The songs veer between outlaw ballads, spaghetti-westerns and the ragged blues of Exile-era Stones.
Their third album, Gabriel Forgive My 22 Sins received glowing reviews and will be featured on Wednesday at The Railway in Winchester.
n TEN strong US male a cappella group Straight No Chaser appear at Ferneham Hall on Sunday.
Originally formed over a dozen years ago while students together at Indiana University, the group has reassembled and re-emerged as a phenomenon – with a massive fanbase, more than 20 million views on YouTube and numerous TV appearances.
