OXFAM Music in Southampton urgently needs new donations to keep its shelves replenished – and new volunteer DJ Hammy is offering songs for donations.
David Hamilton, pictured, who has been DJing in Southampton for more than 32 years, started volunteering at the shop earlier this year and soon realised the importance of new donations to keep customers coming back.
Hammy will guarantee to play you a request at one of his resident nights in Southampton in exchange for a donation of a CD, LP, DVD, video, sheet music or music book.
He told Your Entertainment: “I’ve always wanted to work in a record store and now I have my chance to do some good and be involved in my passion at the same time.”
Simply bring them along on the night and Hammy will play what you ask for!
He can be found at The Shooting Star (Friday or Saturday nights), The Royal Oak one Saturday a month and Lennons nightclub most Thursdays.
You can also donate six days a week at Oxfam Music in East Street.
