WHAT’S not to like about a band that have in their midst a barnet not seen since Brian May tried out his mum’s curling tongs?

This debut album bursts right out of the trap with the sort of high-power energy you might associate with Klaxons but leaning far more into the realms of Guitar Indie-Rock than Nu-Rave.

Nowhere is this more apparent than on Driving Home which soars along with a sing-along “ahhh ha ha haaa” backing vocal more infectious than the current rounds of winter flu.

This is a formula repeated on Why Stay complete with a whiff of Hard-Fi and an irresistible rhythm that demands your presence on the dance floor.

On the anthemic Match bright tortured rhythm guitars vie alongside vocals that flit between The Cult’s Ian Astbury (without the Goth pretentions) and a Bolanesque Glam rocker crooning “Can I evah be satisfiiiiied?”.

This is a gloriously upbeat Indie-Rock album to make you feel Alive.

All this band currently lacks is more gigs on the south coast.
