TWENTY One Pilots proved once again why they are one of the best performers in the world right now.

Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun put in 110% in to their final UK show until Reading Festival in August.

Having heard so many good things about the lads from Columbus, United States, it wasn’t that much of a shock of how good the night was however one thing that surprised me was the energy support act Transviolet put in.

The LA four-piece certainly didn’t look out of place on stage and lead singer Sarah McTaggart complemented the music with her beautiful voice.

With the queues going back miles before even entering the sold out Portsmouth Guildhall, it was certainly worth the wait to see the Transviolet perform their self titled EP.

With the crowd still buzzing the main act appeared on stage with over 2,000 screaming fans ready to share an experience with Twenty One Pilots.

And right from the word go the lads just didn’t disappoint as Tyler famously took the mic to sing Heavy Dirty Soul from their latest album Blurryface.

The lads really got the crowd going with every single fan jumping up and down and singing the lyrics to their well known songs.

Twenty One Pilots will play in Japan in six days time and will continue their tour in Brazil, Chile, Australia, Canada and America over the coming months so it really was an honour to see them play in Hampshire.

Having played songs from Blurryface such as Tear in My Heart, Stressed Out and We Don’t Believe What’s On TV , the duo played a mixture of some of their classic songs all jammed together in the space of just over five minutes.

These included The Pantaloon and Addict With a Pen from their self titled first album as well as Semi Automatic and House Of Gold from the 2013 Vessel album.

One of their last songs was of course Car Radio - the highlight of the night and one of the best shows I have seen.
