By Hannah Carroll

MORE than a thousand people turned out to see UK hip hop artist, Stormzy perform at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth last night.

Urban DJ, AJ Tracey, warmed up the crowd by playing a selection of R&B and hip hop classics, which had the crowd jumping up and down.

When the MOBO winner artist performed singles from his debut album, Gang Signs and Prayers, the audience broke out in to disarray.

The rapper stated that Bournemouth was a venue that he had always hoped to visit.

Halfway through the show an eager fan managed to gain access to the stage, the artist dealt with him by asking the audience whether or not he should be allowed to stay on stage, shortly after he was escorted off.

The performance was energetic, Stormzy was able to dominate the crowd with all of the songs he performed.

The last songs Stormzy performed were fan favourite's, Shut Up and Big For Your Boots, much to the delight of the audience.

The event which was aimed at people over the age of 14, drew in both a young audience and an older crowd, with one large group over the age of 50.
