STARSAILOR reminded a sell-out crowd just what they’ve been missing.

Saturday night’s date at Portsmouth’s Pyramid Centre was all about showcasing their latest album, All The Plans.

In between belting out new tracks and some of their finest old hits, singer James Walsh stopped to pay tribute to a packed audience he described as being “so up for it” that it made their set a cracker.

Virtually every track on their new album, including their current single Tell Me It’s Not Over, was given an airing during their 90-minute performance. The bassist’s need to disappear off stage for a toilet break gave Walsh another chance to prove his vocal expertise with an acoustic version of John Lennon’s Jealous Guy.

Classics included Alcoholic, Love is Here and Silence is Easy, while the encore began with an outstanding performance of Lullaby and finished with Good Souls, sending the fans home happy.
