THEY came, they sang and they did handstands.
Armed with their trademark three-inch high quiffs, tartan blazers, skinny jeans and prison white trainers, John and Edward Grimes descended on Southampton’s Oceana nightclub last night to the delight of screaming fans.
Around 100 people crammed the stage area to watch the dynamic duo perform songs including their classic rendition of Ghostbusters.
John and Edward, or Jedward as they have been dubbed, were welcomed on stage with a colourful array of posters, ear piercing screams and phone numbers written on hastily constructed cards.
The 18-year-old twins from Dublin punctuated their 20- minute show with some high energy jumping around about while belting out Ice Ice Baby, Rock DJ, Wham’s I’m Your Man and Britney’s Oops I did It Again.
The pair cancelled last month’s X-Factor Friday performance in Southampton in favour of an appearance on Irish TV’s Late Late Show Christmas Special.
Following the performance the pair held a meet and greet in the nightclub’s VIP lounge which saw dozens of young girls rush to queue up and meet them.
The Irish twins, who were mentored by Louis Walsh, are said to have been inundated with offers after leaving the X Factor when they lost out in a sing off to Olly Murs.
The twins became an overnight sensation on the TV talent contest during their appearances on the show, which included a bizarre rendition of Ghostbusters and a montage of Wham favourites I’m Your Man and Wham Rap.

One of the questions on Pop Master on Radio 2 this morning had the answer Shayne Ward. What has he done in the past 2 years? Milk it while you can Jedward

I don't understand why anyone would want to see this pair of idiots. Anyone who did go and see them must have a pretty sad life.... There are so many brilliant artists out there and yet they choose to see a couple of no hopers.

Feel sorry for all the truly talented young musicians who are struggling to get a break whilst these talentless drones are promoted across all media channels.

Anything that comes out of X-factor is evil.
