The summer of 2007 was the summer of idiocy as children the land over put fluorescent paint on their face and clothes and threw their limbs around under UV lights like some sort of post-apocalyptic wake.
The source? The Klaxons. What did The Klaxons actually achieve other than keeping many small glo-stick companies open an extra year before going under?
Well, they’re back. And few lessons have been learned from the last monstrosity. It starts promisingly. Echoes is quite an emphatic guitar number which builds nicely in sound. The rating of ‘1’ is for this track alone. ‘0.5’ seemed a little too harsh. But then we go back to square one and you remember why you hated them in the first place.
If there is one album you DON’T hear in 2010 please make sure it’s this one. LEIGH SANDERS .
