Susan Fletcher, of Silverdale, artist and photographer

Susan is wearing a short orange fitted jacket with a long blue dress and a red underskirt. She has black buckled shoes with a small heel and has accessorised her outfit with a handmade necklace made with Indian beads.

She said: "My shoes are Italian, from Chie Mimhara, and my sunglasses are Storm which I got from TK Maxx.

"My dress is blue linen - I sew all of my own clothes and this dress is my own design.

"My jacket is linen and cotton with hand embroidery on the collar, all of which I did myself.

"I sewed the jacket too.

"It is a fitted jacket, panelled with a dipped back.

"I like mixing unusual colour combinations with my clothes.

"I have made own clothes since I was about 10 and I won a national London College of Fashion competition when I was 13.

"When creating my own clothes I am inspired by texture and colour.

"I like to mix vintage and contemporary fabrics. I also dye my own fabrics if there is a particular colour I am wanting to create. I also collect vintage lace."
