BLONDIE, Happy Mondays, Paloma Faith and The Script are among the latest acts confirmed for next year’s Isle of Wight Festival.

Organisers have today announced a string of acts who will perform alongside headliners The Stone Roses and Bon Jovi at the 2013 event.

Bloc Party, The Maccabees, Ellie Goulding, Jake Bugg, Fun, Bonnie Raitt, Imperial Teen, The Farm and Republica have all been named on the line-up for the festival at Seaclose Park, Newport, next June.

Festival promoter John Giddings said: “We are proud to present some of the best new music around, together with artists who helped scope the face of modern music – it’s a stunning combination so far.”

Paloma Faith will make her second appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival when she performs on the main stage on Sunday, June 16.

She said: “So excited to return to one of my favourite music festivals this year and hope the sun shines as beautifully as it did when I last played.”

Blondie will headline the festival’s Big Top on the Sunday evening.

The band said: “The Isle of Wight Festival is one of the best and most famous festivals in the world. Can’t wait to play it again this coming summer.”
