YOUTH Music Theatre has launched a nationwide search for the best actors, singers, dancers, musicians and back stage crew – and they’re in Southampton looking for youngsters to join their company this weekend.
Successful auditionees will work with some of the UK’s leading professional directors, composers and choreographers to stage full-scale productions at some of the country’s most respected theatres and arts festivals.
They’ll get the chance to learn new skills, make friends and take their first steps in a career in the performing arts. And new for 2013 – participants in YMT musicals will be awarded with Trinity Guildhall’s Grade 8 certificates in Musical Theatre!
YMT graduates have gone on to make their mark in the performing arts – in West End musicals, on TV and even in Hollywood blockbusters!
One is singer songwriter Ed Sheeran, pictured, and the chart-topper has become a Youth Music Theatre UK patron and hopes to inspire young people.

Auditions take place at The Point in Eastleigh at 9.30am, 12.15pm and 3.45pm.
