THE BEST of musical show business will be hitting stages across Southampton to celebrate the city’s 50th anniversary.
Young people from across Hampshire will be performing Five of the Best: A Celebration of 50 years in Musicals.
The show will be a collaboration of musical hits during the past five decades as a celebration for Southampton’s 50-year anniversary of city status.
Some of the biggest theatrical numbers including songs from Les Misérables, Oliver! and Me and My Girl will be performed by the Mayflower Theatre’s summer youth project group.
More than 100 budding stars will come together with a live band for this high energy production at the O2 Guildhall and the Nuffield Playing Field in Guildhall Square.
Five of the Best will be performed at the O2 Guildhall from August 7 & 8 and on August 9 it will then move to the Nuffield Playing Field at 3.30pm. Tickets: 023 8071 1811.
