WARS, witches, King Jong Il and your ex.

They will all take a ribbing when one of Britain’s most accomplished young female comedian brings her whistle-stop tour of history to the south coast.

Sara Pascoe will take to the stage at the Lighthouse Arts Studio in Poole on Saturday, December 13.

The Live at the Apollo, QI and Mock the Week star is bringing her Sara Pascoe vs History tour to the region.

The 26-date series is her debut UK tour and focuses on how everything that has happened in the past shapes who we are today.

Your brain can recall being a child, while your body remembers being a monkey.

Her comedy brain will leap from stimulating arguments of abstract confabulation with lumpy doses of openness, honesty and earnestness.

It will be shared with romantic history, existential theory and cultural insights.

The tour follows the comedienne receiving four and five star reviews at this summer’s Edinburgh Festival and being nominated for the Fosters Comedy Award Best Show.

She has also received critical acclaim for her previous shows, Sara Pascoe the Musical and Sara Pascoe vs The Truth – which toured Australia and New Zealand and has been commissioned for a pilot by BBC Radio 4.

Other roles include regular parts in the BAFTA-nominated BBC2 comedy The Thick of It and Channel 4 programmes Campus, Free Agents and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.

Tickets cost £13.50 with concessions for under-16s and OAPS.
