MUSICAL theatre supremo John Owen-Jones has been unveiled as the star man joining opera singer Katherine Jenkins on her forthcoming British tour.

The award-winning performer is the special guest supporting the world-leading mezzo soprano and fellow Welsh contemporary on her landmark return to the arena.

He will join her on every night of next year’s 21-date extravaganza which includes a set at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) on Saturday, February 21.

The milestone tour promotes her new album and comes ten years after releasing debut album ‘Premier’ – one of the fastest selling classical albums ever.

It sparked her meteoric rise to fame as one of the world’s most prolific classical crossover artists.

Owen-Jones has received critical acclaim for breathtaking roles in Phantom of the Opera and in Les Miserables where he is the youngest person ever to play leading role Jean Valjean.

He will perform songs from both musicals during the tour including Music of the Night from Phantom and Bring Him Home from Les Mis.

Katherine – fresh from being awarded an OBE for services to music and charity will unveil material from her ninth studio album Home Sweet Home.

Produced by Patrick Hamilton and recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, it features collaborations violin virtuoso David Garrett and tenor Alfie Boe.

She will also treat the crowd with tunes from her back catalogue of multi-platinum releases which have sold more than eight million copies around the globe.

They have won her numerous accolades including two Classical BRITS for the coveted Album of the Year Award.

John, who is recording his third album said: “Having been a fan of her work for a long time, I am absolutely delighted to be appearing alongside Katherine on what I’m sure will be a hugely successful tour. I can’t wait to be on the tour next spring.” Tickets range from £33.34 to £141.50.
