THE LAST five years have been very busy for Sara Pascoe but somehow she’s managed to fit in meeting the new love of her life.

One of the most accomplished comedians in the industry in the past five years she has gone from obscurity to being one of the most-recognisable comics in the country.

Sara has appeared on panel shows such as QI and Have I Got News For You as well as acting in shows such as Twenty Twelve and BBC Three’s Being Human.

Somehow she’s managed to fit in getting a boyfriend.

When the Daily Echo spoke to her she had been up until three in the morning playing Trivial Pursuit with her father the night before.

She said: “There are times when you’re in Melbourne and New Zealand and Edinburgh for a month at a time and you would think ‘God what I wouldn’t do for a night off’.

“But then you have a couple of nights off and you think that you want to be back out on the circuit.

“I’m very lucky that my boyfriend’s doing the circuit at the same time as I am.”

And now her new touring show – where she explores life and love – is coming to the region.

The show - Sara Pascoe Vs History explores some of the greatest love stories ever told.

She said: “Napoleon and Joséphine would be up there; his love letters were said to be among the most romantic ever written but it turned really tragic as he divorced her because she was in her 40s and couldn’t give him any children.

“He needed an heir but couldn’t stay with his best friend and the woman he really loved.

“And there’s the idea of Adam and Eve having rows in Eden because there’s no one else to talk to.

“So when the snake shows up, she thinks ‘thank God for that, it’s just been Adam every day’.”

The tour heads to Lighthouse Arts Studio in Poole on Saturday December 13 and the West End Centre in Aldershot on Friday December 19.
