JAZZ, acoustic and folk is all in the line-up at The Anvil, Basingstoke venue this season.

It continues with husband and wife duo Megson this Saturday.

Three times nominated in the BBC Radio Two Folk Awards and treble Spiral Earth Award-winners, they draw heavily on their Teeside heritage.

Singer-songwriter Cherry Lee Mewis will take to the stage on Friday, February 27, with her smoking hot band.

The evening promises a unique sound described as dashes of ragtime, country blues, a couple of blades of bluegrass and a pinch of Americana with tracks from Cherry’s new album Catch My Drift.

Acoustic guitarist Tony McManus performs on Saturday, March 7, followed by singer-songwriter Ben Glover and rising star Angel Snow who will perform together on Wednesday, March 11.

North Carolina band Woody Pines hit the stage on Friday, March 13, with their blend of rural and urban string band, country blues, ragtime and jug band music.

The first solo folk artist to be signed to a major British record company, Julie Felix, appears on Saturday, March 21, celebrating 50 years in the industry.
