A COMMUNITY choir from Bournemouth is to appear on stage after a national search.
Do You Hear the People Sing? will perform alongside a West End cast in Godspell in Concert at the Mayflower Theatre on April 12.
The choir will appear as part of the ensemble accompanying X Factor star Andy Abraham, Sugababe Jade Ewen, The Voice star Leanne Jarvis and Jersey Boys star Tom Senior.
Musical director Russell Scott said: “Across the country the standard and volume of choirs that have applied to join us as part of the Godspell in Concert tour has completely exceeded our expectations.
“We have reworked the orchestration for an ensemble and adding choirs extends the community feel of the show, adds an exciting new dimension to the score and brings with it additional electricity.”
