A hilarious musical romp through the big issues of the 2015 General Election is in store when Jonny and the Baptists rock the vote at Salisbury Playhouse.

The musical duo will be performing their silly and satirical songs in The Salberg from Wednesday, April 29 to Friday, May 1, covering everything from the rise of UKIP to library opening hours.

With their catchy tunes and comedy lyrics, Jonny and the Baptists, otherwise known as Jonny Donahoe and Paddy Gervers, take a musical swipe at many of the characters and issues in world politics today.

Rather than steering voters to make a cross in a particular box on May 7, Jonny and the Baptists hope their sharply written songs will encourage people to vote in the first place and help end apathy in British politics.

Rock the Vote includes material from Jonny and the Baptists’ well-received Edinburgh Fringe show and new songs written for the 2015 General Election.

This is the perfect night out for music and comedy fans, anyone with an interest in politics and people looking for a high energy, belly laugh of a night out.

Described as one of the UK’s hottest comedy acts, Jonny and the Baptists come to Salisbury Playhouse after appearances on Radio 4, Channel 5 and at the National Theatre.

Jonny and the Baptists Rock the Vote will be in The Salberg at Salisbury Playhouse from Wednesday to Friday at 7.45pm.
