THE latest Art Exhibition at the Regent in Christchurch features the work of the Hengist Group of Artists from Saturday ( May 23)until Friday June 12.
It is open from 10am daily and admission is free.
Now in its 37th year, the Hengist Group of Artists has over 70 members and is a friendly and thriving mix of amateur and professional local artists.
The group meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7.45pm at St. Nicholas’ Church Hall,The Broadway at Hengistbury Head to exchange views, attend lectures from visiting artists and enjoy painting together, hence the title for this exhibition being The Diversity & Style of Local Artists.
This exhibition will have up to 60 paintings by the members. The pictures are all original, in a variety of media and will include everything from local scenes to still life and abstracts.
