THERE will be a bellyful of laughs at a major music festival which has announced its comedy line-up featuring award-winning comics.

While the music line-up for Bestival’s Summer of Love sees a veritable Who’s Who of brilliance to keep revellers dancing all weekend the comedy line-up is equally impressive.

Over the course of the four-day weekend from September 10 to 13 partygoers can catch their breath between sets by headliners Missy Eliot, Duran Duran and The Chemical Brothers at Robin Hill park.

Bestival festival organiser Rob da Bank said: “Aside from a dance, a sing-along and the occasional stiff drink, we do like a laugh at Bestival, which is why our head of comedy has only gone and booked another corking line up of comics, from Andrew Maxwell (pictured) to Abandoman.

“We’re also bringing comedy up the hill to our ace new Slow Motion area, so if you can’t find it just follow the laughter”.

Improv rap comics Abandoman will top the bill on Friday night, spitting out their lightning-speed rhyming chops and super-sharp barbs.

Winner of Hackney Empire new act of the year, the Musical Comedy Awards and the Adelaide Fringe Festival’s best comedy newcomer award Rob said “they’re completely unmissable”.

For those who like in-your-face comedy long-time Bestival favourite and double Edinburgh Comedy award nominee and TV regular Andrew Maxwell returns to headline on Saturday.

The UK’s premier improv troupe The Noise Next Door top the bill on Sunday.

With no rehearsal or script, the five-piece cabal of comedians transform audience suggestions into fantastically funny scenes and songs in the blink of an eye with ludicrous characters, witty one-liners, epic stories, and explosive physicality.

From 7pm in the Bestiversity Tent in the Slow Motion arena, there will also be side-splitting turns from some of the finest comedians currently getting audiences all hot and bothered on the comedy circuit, including Phil Nichol, Andy Askins, Daniel Sloss, Ian Stone, Late Night Gimp Fight, Titty Bar Ha Ha, Jollyboat, Joel Dommett, Kai Humphries, Benny Boot and Alfie Brown.

Plus we’ll have rip-roaring fun from Jamali Maddix, Paul McCaffrey, Lolly Adefope, Wayne Deakin, Mickey D, The Herbert, Eric Lampaert, Elliot Steel, Tim Renkow, Amy Howerska, Brennan Reece, Garrett Millerick and James Loveridge.
