LIVE music events at the Dudsbury Country Club continue to go from strength to strength, with a live performance from 80’s British R&B band Loose Ends on Thursday, October 15.

The band had several urban contemporary hits with tracks such as Hanging On A String that reached number one in the US charts and Slow Down that also hit the top of the charts stateside.

Led by gifted musician and producer Carl McIntosh, Loose Ends became the first British R&B band to have a number one gold selling album in the US and went on to sell millions.

Their last major hit was Watching You in 1988, which reached number two.

The group shuffled its line-up in 1990 for the release of Look How Long, with McIntosh now joined by Linda Carriere and Sunay Suleyman.

McIntosh also produced several artists, notably Caron Wheeler who went on to find fame with Soul II Soul.

Later this month, sees a series of spooktacular family events at the Dudsbury Country Club to celebrate Halloween.

The Ghost of the Dudsbury takes place on Saturday, October 31 and November 1 with the Saturday having already sold-out.
