THE strange case of Sherlock Holmes and the missing diamond, a ghost story to set spines tingling, and a few saucy anecdotes were the order of the day when Radio Littleton took to the airwaves.

The spoof radio show – Light Nite – was all part of the fun when the Littleton Players took to the stage to raise cash for new stage lighting.

The drama took the form of a regular radio show with the cast made up of Littletown Players stalwarts.

Paul Cunningham was at the presenter’s desk to keep the action flowing as cast members provided a lively mixture of not so accurate weather forecasts – blizzards forecast for Andover – poetry, traffic news, film extracts and gardening tips.

Pushing the boundaries, the cast ran a few risks with a couple of risqué numbers included director Heather Bradford’s song about ladies imposing a sex tax on their husbands!

Hampshire Chronicle and Daily Echo editor in chief Ian Murray was one of the guests to be interviewed ‘live on air’ as part of the fun.

A spotlight review of the Littleton Junior Football Club also entertained the audience.

Live music from The Moornroller Ukulele Band had the appreciative audience rocking in their seats at the Littleton Millennium Memorial Hall for this one off production.
