ORGANISERS are promising a festive feast of carols at this year's Winchester Cathedral Christmas Concert.

Tickets are now on sale for the event, which features popular trio Blake as guest performers.

BBC South Today's Sally Taylor, who recently received an Honorary Doctorate at the Cathedral, will returns as host.

She will introduce the Choirs of Winchester Cathedral, who will be singing the usual mix of traditional and more light-hearted carols interspersed with readings and reflections.

Audiences at the concert, on Friday December 11, will be treated to an eclectic mix of classical and pop songs with rich vocals from harmony singers Blake, who launched their first album in 2007, just six months after reuniting as friends on Facebook.

The debut album went straight to number One in the UK Classical Album Chart and into the Top Twenty Pop Chart.

With over a million albums sold, and having performed on nearly 150 TV shows around the world, Blake continue to build their reputation as one of the most eclectic and exciting pop-harmony groups in the world.
