EASTLEIGH Film Festival returns with six days of movie-going fun later this month.

Curators The Point have announced seven small-scale mini screenings around the borough for movie lovers who enjoy a side-splitting comedy, like to sing along to a music or want to feel nostalgic.

Out In The Town is a new and exciting cinematic experience, brought to you in collaboration with a whole host of local haunts that are allowing festival creators to turn Eastleigh into a centre for film.

On Tuesday September 27, five iconic movies will be screened in individual venues that are guaranteed to put the fun back into movie-going.

Night at the Museum brings family fun to Eastleigh Museum, reminisce at The Entertainer with 1980’s classic Big, have a go on a free climbing wall before immersing yourself in true story 127 Hours at Trespass and meet Audrey ll when The Flower Shop screens Little Shop of Horrors.

Pull up a stall for The World’s End at The Station as the team behind EFF screens the whole Cornetto Trilogy, from famous film friends Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, at unique venues to suit.

This movie event isn’t just about re-watching iconic films, though – audiences can expect plenty of additional entertainment as Festival Director Dan Hill and co. present a week of movie-going magic.

Eastleigh Film Festival includes 17 films from seven decades, screened across six days, at eleven venues.

They are extraordinary features that changed the game of cinema upon release and stayed with fans long after the first viewing. From genre-bending horror to cult comedy, there is something for everyone
