FANS of Ricky Gervais’s comedy creation David Brent will be over the moon to learn that he’ll be bringing his band Foregone Conclusion to the BIC on Thursday, December 15.

Tickets go on sale today ( Saturday October 8) at 10am.

Following two sell out gigs at London’s Eventim Apollo in September, where 6500 tickets for the shows sold out in 10 minutes. Big things are expected in Bournemouth for his one night only performance.

The star invited fans to decide whether he should play Bournemouth or Brighton by voting in a poll on Twitter.

One responded he should definitely come to Bournemouth as it was "definitely more Brent".

It has since been announced he will be playing both arenas in December.

Earlier this year saw the release of the film David Brent: Life On The Road and its accompanying album.

David Brent: Life On The Road caught up with the former office manager 12 years on from the BBC mockumentary The Office to find he is now a travelling salesman for a cleaning and ladies' personal hygiene products company.

However, he has not given up on his dream of fame and fortune as a rock star and is about to embark on a self-financed UK tour with his resentful band Foregone Conclusion, who are just in it for the money.

Controversially the film features songs about Native Americans and people with disabilities, as well as a scene using the n-word.

On the announcement of the new David Brent & Foregone Conclusion live shows, Ricky Gervais said: "Gigging as David Brent is literally one of the most fun things I’ve ever done and even though I’m in character it’s still an incredible and overwhelming feeling to have thousands of people sing along to every song.”.
