THE story of Joan of Arc, a classical ballet and a Broadway Musical are just some of the fantastic events being brought to the big screen by Vue Eastleigh this January and February.
The upcoming line-up includes the electrifying NT Live: Saint Joan which will be broadcast live from the Donmar Warehouse. Bernard Shaw’s classic play follows the life and trial of Joan of Arc (Gemma Arterton) as she declares a bloody mission to drive the English from France.
In addition to this critically-acclaimed production, Vue will also be treating guests to perennial favourite and much-loved classic, The Royal Ballet's The Sleeping Beauty. It delivers the best of classical ballet, with all its charms and virtuosity, splendid music and talented dancers to both enchant and thrill audiences.
The cinema is also showing the Broadway musical Disney’s Newsies for one day only on February 19. Based on a true story, Disney’s Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenage ‘newsies,’ who dreams only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets.
