IT'S 30 years since Patrick Swayze smouldered as Johnny in Dirty Dancing – now a special screening of this cult classic is sashaying its way into cinemas for Valentine's Day.

To celebrate the anniversary of this coming-of-age tale, Vue has announced a series of one-off showings at locations across the UK on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

A whole generation fell in love with Dirty Dancing when it was released in the 80’s, and its timeless appeal ensures many more will fall in love with it in years to come.

Dirty Dancing follows the story of teenager Baby’s (Jennifer Grey) forbidden love affair with dance teacher Johnny (Swayze) as they meet while she is on a family holiday at Kellerman’s holiday resort in the Catskill Mountains.

Over the course of the movie Johnny and Baby’s romance creates some of the most iconic silver screen love scenes as well as infamous dialogue - everybody knows that nobody puts Baby in the corner!

Dirty Dancing will be one of the first films to be shown at the brand new Showcase Cinema de Lux Southampton, as well as being screened at Vue in Eastleigh, Odeon Southampton and Cineworlds in both Southampton and Whiteley.
