HORRIBLE Histories- The Best Of Barmy Britain is invading Theatre Royal Winchester this half term. The acclaimed stage version inspired by the popular TV show and series of books will be performing on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 May.

In a 70 minute gallop through several thousand years of British history, Horrible Histories- The Best Of Barmy Britain features Laura Dalgleish and Neal Foster as battling Boudicca, King John, Henry VIII, Dick Turpin, Burke and Hare, Queen Victoria and many more fascinating heroes and villains. It’s history with all the nasty bits left in.

Barmy Britain is written by Terry Deary and the director Neal Foster. Terry Deary’s fifty Horrible Histories books have sold over 25 million copies worldwide and have helped make him the world’s best-selling nonfiction author for children.

The production is by Birmingham Stage Company who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. Their most recent productions include Roald Dahl’s George’s Marvellous Medicine and David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny.
