INDIE rockers The Kooks are on a (rock and) roll.

Following a sold out tour across UK and Europe, and an arena tour announcement, The Kooks have revealed Broken Vow as the second single to be released from the band’s latest album Best Of.. So Far.

Fans will be able to catch the track being performed live across festivals this summer including Lime Wood’s Smoked and Uncut Festival in the New Forest next month.

This week, the band who have their fair share of highs and lows over the years, have also announced a show at the BIC as an additional date to their arena tour at the end of this year.

It follows their storming performance at Southampton Guildhall this Spring as well as the Isle of Wight Festival.

Since the quartet burst onto the scene in 2006 with their unstoppable debut Inside In/Inside Out, the Brighton based four-piece have gone from strength to strength.

Now, with three more studio albums, including a number one and top five albums, a number of world tours, awards and critical acclaim under their belts, it is clear that the indie rockers’ ten year anniversary is a significant occasion to celebrate their career so far with a tour and album release of all of their greatest hits.

Talking to the Daily Echo ahead of their gig at Bournemouth’s O2 Academy in May, Luke, 32 said it was hard to believe the band is now celebrating its tenth anniversary.

“Time is such a strange concept. It’s gone so quickly. There’s never been a time that we thought the band would end so I can’t say I’m surprised. We believe in what we are doing and I’ve never doubted we deserve to be where ever we are.”

The Kooks play the BIC on Friday, December 1. Tickets £30.75. To book call, 0844 576 3000 or online at bhlivetickets.co.uk.
