COMEDY returns to Nuffield Southampton Theatres’ (NST) this weekend with a whole host of live, side-splitting shows from the biggest and best acts on the comedy circuit.

Experienced funnyman Phill Jupitus will take to the main stage at NST Campus on Sunday to make light of the chaos in his own life and the uncertain world that surrounds it in what promises to be a delightful and/or horrific set depending on your point of view.

The following Sunday, The Nerds will buffer up a veritable Periodic Table of new songs, science and spreadsheets in their brand new and very silly show Festival of the Spoken Nerd: You Can’t Polish a Nerd. Full frontal nerdity is guaranteed in this laugh a minute production, the science comedy phenomenon featuring the talents of stand-up mathematician Matt Parker, TV experiments maestro Steve Mould and award-winning geek songstress Helen Arney.

Comedy phenomenon and “one of the biggest stand up hits of the last decade” (The Guardian) Luisa Omielan will bring her smash hit show Am I Right Ladies? to Southampton for one-night-only on October 18.

Bringing the season of comedy to a close on October 20 is Simon Amstell, who will be delivering a deeply personal yet funny exploration of beauty, intimacy, freedom, sex and love, as part of his new 2017 tour What Is This?

Also making an appearance at NST Campus this autumn season is comedy powerhouse and star of Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo and Stand Up for the Week, Paul Chowdhry, as well as Jeremy Hardy of BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue. Tickets: 023 8067 1771 or nstheatres.co.uk
