WINCHESTER Science Centre has teamed up with the Royal Society of Chemistry and BOC to deliver a new live show – The Secret World of Gases – especially designed for families this Half Term (February 9-19).

“The show includes awe-inspiring demonstrations using liquid nitrogen, solid carbon dioxide and hydrogen that are guaranteed to inspire and excite,” described Dr Ben Littlefield, Head of Education at Winchester Science Centre.

“The Secret World of Gases doesn’t end with the live show, we also have a whole host of fascinating gassy hands-on activities moving around the Invention Studio and around the Science Centre. So, join us as we gas about gases and explore everything the Science Centre has to offer.”

The Secret World of Gases live show takes place daily every hour between 11am-3pm and entry is free with general admission, however it is highly recommended that places for the show are reserved online in advance in order to guarantee entry. Tickets may be available on the door, availability is first come first served.

Also for half term, there is a full programme of live, presenter-led and 3600 fulldome films showing throughout the day in the Planetarium including, We are Aliens and Simply Stars.

Entrance to the Science Centre’s exhibition floors and The Secret World of Gases live show costs £12 for adults, £8.40 for children and is free to Annual Pass Holders.
