GRAB your dancing shoes and head down to Port Solent for its free bank holiday weekend music event today!

From 12.30pm, guests can enjoy live music from popular local bands, The Bootlegs, Thee Sultan Sheiks and Cadency.

Portsmouth-based cover band, The Bootlegs are back by popular demand and will entertain guests with a selection of well-known hits, from Elvis and The Beatles, to Queen and Oasis.

Another favourite from last year, Thee Sultan Sheiks, is back to rock crowds, adding a humorous twist to classics from the 60s, 70s and 80s.

Five-piece Portsmouth cover band, Cadency, will also be joining the line-up, with tunes that will make visitors sing and dance the day away.

Port Solent’s Lisa Fowler, explained: “We’ve been hosting live music events here at Port Solent for many years, which have always proven very popular and so we are excited to bring another one to the local community this bank holiday weekend.

“And better yet, it’s completely free!

“We’re pleased to welcome back Thee Sultan Sheiks and The Bootlegs, who were both very popular at last year’s event, and we’re looking forward to introducing new arrival, Cadency, to the mix.

“We hope everyone enjoys the event and all we need to do now is cross our fingers for good weather!”

With over 17 bars and restaurants to choose from, there is a huge choice of food and drink available for anyone wanting to extend their visit, and with free parking, visitors can sing, dance, eat and enjoy the music for as long as they like!

There are lots of other events going on over the half-term holiday, including Top Banana Circus and Liberty Birds of Prey Show. Visit: www.portsolent.com.
