NUFFIELD Southampton Theatres (NST) will present Friday afternoons of free theatre fun with Theatre on the Beach at Seaside in the Square, Guildhall Square on August 3, 10 and 17.

The weekly Friday afternoon sessions will take place in and around a restored Southampton heritage bus.

Activities include a Theatre Bus, which will house an exhibition about the making of the Spitfire in the city and the story behind the smash hit production, The Shadow Factory. The bus will also be the back drop and stage for budding stars to create their own characters using theatrical costumes and props. NST will also be running a Billionaire Boy toilet roll throwing challenge.

Bill Sainsbury, Head of Marketing at Nuffield Southampton Theatres said: “We are delighted to be taking part in Southampton’s Seaside on the Square and are looking forward to the next few weeks of summer with activities for all ages having fun around the stories that we are developing for the stage.”

Seaside in the Square is takes place until August 22 and features over 100 free activities and events from beach sports to live music and a giant deckchair trail.
