Thousands of Michael Jackson fans who bought tickets to see his comeback shows at London’s O2 were last night waiting to see if they will get their money back.

Some have said refunds would be issued but others have yet to reveal what action will be taken.

Retailer Seatwave and ticket exchange site viagogo both said they would refund ticketholders.

Advising fans to use its website to arrange a refund, Seatwave said in a statement: “We are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic death of Michael Jackson and offer our sincerest condolences to his family, friends and fans. The world has lost a fantastic performing artist.

“We would like to reassure you that your Michael Jackson ticket purchase is fully covered.”

Ticket exchange company viagogo also issued a statement, which said: “All Michael Jackson tickets purchased through viagogo will be refunded.

Fans who paid a booking fee of about £10 for each ticket they purchased, will not get a refund of the booking fee.
Fans who brought tickets at vastly inflated prices on E Bay, will dip out altogether.
