TO celebrate five amazing years in the West End, the producers of Billy Elliot the Musical have launched Billy Youth Theatre, an exciting new initiative providing schools and youth groups around the country with the opportunity to perform their own productions of this internationally award-winning show.
Billy Elliot writer Lee Hall, together with Martin Koch (Musical Supervision and Orchestrations), have adapted their original script and orchestrations to produce a shortened version of the show exclusively for groups staging local productions as part of Billy Youth Theatre.
STP Musical’s will be taking part with a local production planned for March 2010 at Ferneham Hall in Fareham.
Auditions to be part of the cast take place at the Pavilion on the Park in Eastleigh today and tomorrow between 10am and 3pm.
STP Musicals recent successes include Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd and Footloose but they are now searching for a winning cast to bring the fantastic Billy Elliot characters to life, not to mention the all important and pivotal title role!
They are looking for youngsters aged ten to 19.
