ROXANNE Pallett, nominated as Best Actress and Sexiest Female during her three years in ITV’s Emmerdale, is to star in a 16-city UK tour of the American jukebox musical, Rock Around The Clock.

Rock Around The Clock has already wowed audiences around the world and will be at Winchester’s Theatre Royal next week from Thursday to Saturday.

The musical shakes, rattles and rolls all the way back to the fantastic 1950s to the time of Teddy Boys, quiffs, Brylcreem, poodle skirts and blue suede shoes. It features a non-stop hit parade of Rock and Roll classics, including Great Balls of Fire, Jail House Rock, Blueberry Hill, Shake Rattle and Roll, Good Golly Miss Molly, Johnny B. Goode and many more, made famous by Buddy Holly, Bill Haley and His Comets, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Elvis Presley, The Platters and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Roxanne Pallett turned down a pop record deal when she won the part of Jo Stiles in Emmerdale that launched her as one of the nation’s most loved soap stars.

Roxanne showcased her vocal talent on ITV’s Soapstar Superstar and was the winner of Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes, singing as Gloria Estefan. She starred on ITV1’s Dancing on Ice, then joined Torvill and Dean on their 25th anniversary Bolero Tour. Roxanne has just completed her first Hollywood film, Lake Placid 3.
