A FUN-packed day of free entertainment will welcome home the crews taking part in the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race.
After more than 40,000-miles at sea, and nearly a year of ocean racing, the south coast is getting ready to celebrate the end of world’s longest ocean race in style.
Ten thousand are expected to turn out and welcome home the fleet of ten racing yachts, made up of crews from over 40 countries.
To celebrate the fleet’s return a day of free celebrations at Ocean Village includes a spectacular air display by premier aerobatic team The Yaks and a host of live music. The event, hosted by Jack FM and The Breeze, has been organised by Southampton City Council, MDL Marinas, owner of Ocean Village Marina where the yachts will be berthed and Allied Developments Ltd. Clipper Race Roadshow open all day.
