BRAIN boxes and number crunchers from Southampton can put their names forward for a muchloved TV show.
Countdown, the letters and numbers-based quiz show, is coming to Southampton and on the look-out for contestants for its 30th anniversary.
Alan Sugar’s former sidekick on the hit show The Apprentice, the quizzical and level-headed Nick Hewer is the new anchor for the Channel 4 show with numbers brainbox, Rachel Riley, co-hosting.
Now in its 67th series, the show is regarded by many as an august institution which regularly receives a million viewers everyday to solve word conundrums and number puzzles.
