MOTORS THEFT: North Yorkshire Police is investigating after 10 electric motors were stolen from Croft, near Darlington. The Brooks motors all in different sizes were taken from a compound at Halanby Hall Gardens sometime between March 2 and 3. It’s believed the motors were stolen for scrap as they contain copper and must have been removed using a vehicle. Officers are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the theft or who has been offered motors for sale to contact 101.
FUNDRAISING CONCERT: Irish singer Ann Breen will be in concert at Northallerton Forum on Saturday April 20 at 7.30pm. Tickets,£12, will be on sale from Greensleeves, Central Arcade or ring 01609-777272. The concert is a fundraising event for Northallerton Silver Band.
