Rihanna and Kelly Brook have been busy broadcasting what they look like without their slap on and in a bikini on their overworked Twitter accounts.

Kim Kardashian is a huge fan of the barefaced selfie and BFFs Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton can barely keep themselves from showing us how amazing they look while chilling out at home with the kids.

Some of them may genuinely be without make up, but of course they have put a fair amount of effort into looking so bare faced fabulous.

OK so Fern Britton’s sweaty gym pose this week was a look many of us know well post workout.

But the rest of the celebs would do well to stop attracting attention and putting pressure on us mere mortals.

I’m make up free most days – bags, blemishes and all.

But then I barely dry my hair – or even my body – as I race from the swimming pool to my desk at silly o’clock in the morning.

They have personal trainers, clever underwear and access to the best surgeons in the world. They’re just showing off.

We know – and they know – that most don’t inhabit the real world, so why try to pretend that they do?
