IT was only a matter of months before the sharks started circling.

Missing flight MH370 has still not been located after it went missing in March and we are no closer to finding out what happened to the 239 people on board.

But we do now know that there will be a film made about it after a trailer showing panic-stricken staff on a turbulent flight and a mile high love triangle was released at Cannes Film Festival.

Director Rupesh Paul’s tasteless thriller promises to give audiences ‘the untold story’ of the missing plane, although I’m not entirely sure how as an international search effort involving some of the world’s leading experts has so far led to nothing.

Apparently the film will not affect the families of missing passengers and will not be based on "stupid things".

That’s no guns and no aliens in the top secret ending.

Well that’s alright then.

Admittedly this has to be one of the most intriguing tales of all time, but any storyline will be based on pure supposition – and that can never be a good thing for the loved ones of those missing, even if they are keen to keep their plight in the public eye.

It’s all in pretty poor taste as far as I’m concerned and I urge cinema goers to vote with their feet and stay away.
