Dartford's parks now have security after a catalogue of violence including murder, vandalism and suspected arson.
A contract to provide security in the parks has been running since January 1.
News Shopper readers believe the teenagers who murdered homeless alcoholic George Johnstone in Central Park last summer may have been deterred if park wardens had been employed by the council.
Complaints have also come from sports clubs and charities based in Hesketh Park which have been victims of repeated acts of vandalism over recent years.
A Dartford Council spokesman, who did not know the name of the firm awarded the contract, said: "The council has in place a new parks security contract which has been running since January 1 and will be considering the overall specification in the coming months as part of the budget process."
