Single in the City party time

THURSDAY is a big night for Single in the City – with the launch of our new singles night at Dockgate 4.

Singletons of all ages are welcome to make new friends and maybe even find love.

The free evening gets under way at 8pm. Female guests receive a free cocktail and there will also be free canapés and drinks promotions. Entertainment will be provided by girl group Afrodisiac, who reached the boot camp in last year’s X Factor, as well as a DJ playing party tunes.

The night launches with a party this week for men and women, but in future the evening will begin with a fun women-only activity, such as dancing , cocktail making or confidence classes, before the doors open to single men.

Yannick Hugoo, manager of Dockgate 4, says: “Single in the City is different to other singles nights and at our launch party guests will find out why. We are going to provide ladies with the chance to have a giggle between 7pm and 9pm trying out a range of activities. We kick off in October – literally – with burlesque. Then from 9pm the doors open and it’s party time with the boys arriving. It is going to be great fun in a friendly and relaxed environment.”

Laura Downton of Afrodisiac said: “We all love the Single in the City column so we’re excited about performing at the launch party. We have some strong ladies’ tunes in our setlist so we think it’ll go down well with the audience.”
